Tonight
A small collection in your own Plex library, chosen for how
you're actually feeling this evening.
Tonight reads one thing from Ward — how you're feeling right now — and uses
it to pick a handful of films and shows from your own Plex server. It writes
them to a collection called Tonight that appears in your normal
Plex apps, and you can delete it whenever you like.
Ward is never told that Plex is involved — not what is in
your library, not what was collected, not what you watched.
Plex is never told that Ward exists, or what any of this
is for. One exception, chosen deliberately: the playlist Tonight builds is
named after the reading — Tonight — Relaxed — so that what it picked
is legible where you use it. A playlist belongs to your Plex account rather
than to the library, so that name is not shown to other people who use the
same server.
Only this connector sees both halves, and it keeps
no record of how you have felt: it reads, chooses, and forgets.
What connecting involves
Two permissions, in that order, and about a minute.
- Ward asks you to approve one thing —
read:current_state, which is how you're feeling right now. Not
your history, and not anything else.
- Plex asks you to link your server by typing a
four-character code at plex.tv/link.
Connect Ward →
You'll go to Ward first. Nothing is
written to your library until you've linked Plex as well, and you can stop
after either step.
